Radiofrequency MEMS + CMOS. Matured Technology Ready for the Peak Hour Modern electronics need reconfigurable RF front ends that can share various protocols. These modules must have small size, low losses, high tuning range and low power consumption. These requirements can be met with reconfigurable MEMS controlled by CMOS chips. Present RF MEMS/CMOS chips that can replace FETs and HEMTs in RF systems are reviewed.
